Cosmetic uses of Botox®

Botox® is used for many indications in the medical world. Within aesthetics it is used to relax the muscles that cause lines and wrinkles.

Botox® is licensed for its use on the frown, forehead lines and also for the crows feet around the eyes. Botox® reduces excessive movement of the muscles that cause lines and wrinkles and therefore prevents the formation of lines and wrinkles. With accurate placement the muscles can be adjusted to shape the brows in a more ideal way or to simply raise them with a Botox® brow lift.

Botox® is also used to reduce clenching and grinding of the teeth from overactive jaw muscles and to reduce a very square jaw. It can be used to reduce a gummy smile when the lip rises too high and to reduce bunny lines on the nose. Botox® can be used to reduce a downward smile where overactive muscles pull the corners of the mouth down and to reduce a cobblestone chin. Botox® is also used to define the jaw line when the neck muscles are too strong and blend in to the jaw or when there are visible neck lines that need minimising.

Botox® for Hyperhydrosis

Botox® is also very popular to reduce sweating. It can be used for underarm sweating or even for sweating on the palms of the hands.
